The Paramātman is perfect. The universe is also perfect. But, in order to see this perfect universe and enjoy it, we should have the vision and perspective born of wisdom and guidance. This wisdom can only be experienced through the teachings of Gurudev. This wisdom is called Ātmajñāna (Self-consciousness) and the vision of this knowledge is called jñāna dṛṣṭi. This destroys ignorance. If the vision of wisdom is not received then a person will remain engrossed in the world of men's greed and attachment as well as circles of suffering which perpetuate the cycle of birth and death.

Therefore, to attain this perfection, Gurupūrṇimā is celebrated once a year to obtain blissfulness and to enjoy the oneness of the universe and oneness with the Guru.
